How and where to vote
The Prague 1 council has 27 seats. The ballot is one large sheet with every list on it – and there are three ways to fill it in. Below you will also find a map of every polling station in Prague 1 and its accessibility.

Bring with you
Czech citizens: ID card or passport (the eDoklady app is accepted too). EU citizens: your Czech residence document – potvrzení o přechodném pobytu or průkaz o povolení k trvalému pobytu; a home-country ID card alone is not enough. Without the right document the committee cannot let you vote.
Two large sheets
One sheet is for the Prague 1 council (27 members), the other for Prague City Council (65). Slate no. 6 Rozhodujme společně is only on the Prague 1 sheet. Senate ballots are separate: put the ballot of one candidate into the official envelope.
Voter certificate
The Czech voličský průkaz is not valid in municipal elections. You can only vote at the polling station for your address in Prague 1.

Tick one list and add names from other lists. Your chosen list then receives votes only for as many of its candidates as remain up to 27 – counted from the top of the list.

The strongest support for our slate is a single cross next to the list.
Put the marked ballot into the official envelope you receive from the committee and drop the whole sheet into the box – a ballot without the official envelope is invalid. Taking it out of the polling station means you have not voted.EU citizens living in Prague 1
You can vote in these elections – but you have to register first
Czech citizens with permanent residence in Prague 1 are on the voter roll automatically. Citizens of other EU member states are not: you have to ask to be added to the supplement to the permanent voter list (dodatek stálého seznamu voličů) for Prague 1. It is a single form, and once you are on the list you stay on it for future municipal elections.
Who can register
A citizen of another EU member state who is at least 18 on the second day of the election and holds permanent residence or a registered temporary residence in Prague 1.
Where and how
In person at the Prague 1 town hall – Odbor občansko-správních agend, oddělení správního řízení, Vodičkova 32 (2nd floor, tel. 221 097 397) – with your ID or residence card; ask for the dodatek stálého seznamu voličů. Office hours are Monday and Wednesday, 8:00–18:00.
Deadline
No later than two days before the first day of voting – by 16:00 on 7 October 2026. After that the roll is closed and cannot be changed.
On election day you vote at the polling station for your address, the same way as everyone else. Bring your Czech residence document (potvrzení o přechodném pobytu or průkaz o povolení k trvalému pobytu) – that is the document the committee checks for EU citizens.

Find your polling station
Each station has a 300-metre circle around it so you can see what is closest. Which station you belong to depends on your registered address – you will find it on the notice posted in your building. Step-free stations are highlighted (there are 5).
The address is matched right in your browser – it is not sent anywhere.
Station locations follow the addresses published on the official notice board of the Prague 1 town hall. Accessibility is listed as published by the town hall.

Before you go to vote
Frequently asked questions
When can I vote in Prague 1?
On Friday 9 October 2026 from 14:00 to 22:00 and on Saturday 10 October from 8:00 to 14:00. A possible second round of the Senate election will be held on 16 and 17 October.
What should I bring?
Czech citizens: a valid ID card or Czech passport. You can also prove your identity in the eDoklady app – just update it before you go. EU citizens: a valid confirmation of temporary or permanent residence issued by the foreign police; a home-country ID card alone is not enough. Without the right document the committee cannot let you vote.
Where is my polling station?
In your ward (okrsek), which is set by your registered address. Prague 1 has 21 wards (1001–1021); the map and the table with accessibility details are above on this page. Voter certificates (voličský průkaz) are not issued for council elections, so for the councils you can only vote at your own polling station.
You can check whether you are on the voter roll during office hours at the Prague 1 town hall, Vodičkova 32, 2nd floor.
How many ballot sheets will I get, and how do I mark them?
Two large sheets: one for the Prague 1 council (27 members) and one for Prague City Council (65 members). Czech citizens also receive Senate ballots. Slate no. 6 Rozhodujme společně is on the Prague 1 sheet.
On each sheet, mark one party with a cross, or individual candidates (at most as many as there are seats), or both – the three ways above show how. Put the marked sheet into the official envelope. Senate ballots are not marked: put just one of them, the ballot of the candidate you choose, into the official envelope.
The sheets are often printed on both sides and there is little room behind the screen, so it helps to plan your crosses at home on the ballots delivered to your letterbox.
My ballots have not arrived. What now?
Ballots are delivered to voters’ permanent addresses by Tuesday 6 October 2026. If yours do not arrive, you will get them at the polling station. For a possible Senate second round, ballots are not delivered – you receive them at the polling station.
